How We Work With Artists
🎵 How We Work With Artists
Supporting Creators With Respect, Clarity & Collaboration
Artists are the core of everything we do. At Astronic Media, we don’t just license music — we build relationships with the people who create it. As part of the SYNC team, you’ll interact with a wide range of talent, from self-produced indie artists to seasoned composers and producers. How we work with them reflects who we are as a team.
🤝 Artist-Centered Philosophy
We treat our artists as collaborators, not content providers. Our goal is to elevate their work and guide them through the sync world with respect, transparency, and creative care.
Key principles:
Clarity over confusion — Artists should always know what’s expected, what they’re submitting for, and how their rights are protected.
Guidance over gatekeeping — We provide feedback, insights, and context to help artists grow in sync, not just pass/fail decisions.
Partnership over transaction — Long-term relationships matter more than short-term placements.
✍️ Artist Onboarding Process
Discovery & Review – We listen to their catalogue, ask about their goals, and assess sync fit.
Initial Contact – We explain how we work, what we’re looking for, and what they can expect.
Asset Collection – Artists send us WAVs, stems, metadata, alt versions, and signed agreements.
Metadata Check – The Music Department ensures all files are tagged and structured properly.
DISCO Upload & Cataloguing – Their music is added to our library and prepared for briefs.
📂 Ongoing Artist Communication
Use Discord or email depending on the artist’s preference
Keep all communication friendly, timely, and clear
Provide specific feedback (e.g. “Add an instrumental version” or “Try building more tension in the first 30 seconds”)
Acknowledge effort and progress — even when giving critique
When rejecting tracks, be honest but constructive. We want them to succeed, even if it's not with us.
